Rumbaugh, CPCM
Marge Rumbaugh is Director of Public Contract Management of The
Federal Market Group/Government Business Solutions, Washington,
D. C. based organizations providing professional training, research, publishing
and consulting services to government and industry in public contracts management,
program/project management and leadership. She is the Principal responsible
for the consulting practice and training curriculum focused on contract management
and administration of public contracts.
Ms. Rumbaugh is a nationally recognized instructor in acquisition
management. Her career in training began with the University of Virginia
as an adjunct professor. With UVA, Ms. Rumbaugh taught two undergraduate
classes in their evening certification program: Introduction to Procurement
and Contracting and Contract Administration.
As the former National Vice President for Education
and Certification of the National Contract Management
Association (1997-1998), she was responsible for developing
seminars, educational products, and overseeing professional
certification exams. Ms Rumbaugh has experience designing,
writing, and teaching courses for the Intelligence Community
(NRO and CIA), the Defense Community (DOD), Civilian
Agencies (FAI, DOE) and private industry (NCMA). She
has experience teaching a wide variety of topics covering
the full spectrum of the acquisition cycle from acquisition
planning to contract termination.
Ms Rumbaugh holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political
Science cum laude from Susquehanna University and a Master's
Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Florida
Institute of Technology. She is a Certified Professional
Contract Manager (CPCM) and holds a certificate
in Procurement and Contract Management from the University
of Virginia.
She received the NCMA Tysons Corner Chapter
Certificate of Honor for outstanding chapter service
in Education, in 1992, NCMA National Education Award
in 1995 for exemplary contributions to contract management
through education, and the NCMA Mid Atlantic Region Special
Achievement Award in 1996.
She is a member of the American Society of Training
and Development, and National Contract Management Association.
